What are my liability for damage options?
There are 3 different liability reduction options available for you campervan or motorhome.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement not being breached
Option 1: Liability Reduction Fee (LRF)*
If you accept LRF, and pay the extra charge, we will reduce the amount of your liability for vehicle loss/damage/accident/recovery/towage from $5,000 to $2,500 on a sealed road.
Option 2: Liability Reduction Fee (LRF) with Max*
If you accept LRF with Max, and pay the extra charge, we will reduce the amount of your liability for vehicle loss/damage/accident/recovery/towage on a sealed road to $0. It also covers windscreen & tyre damage on sealed roads.
Option 3: Liability Reduction Fee (MAX Package) including selected sundry items at no cost and Tyre and Windscreen buyout*
If you accept LRF with MAX Package, and pay the extra charge, we will reduce the amount of your liability for loss/damage/accident/recovery/towage on a sealed road to $0. It also covers windscreen & tyre damage on unsealed roads. In addition, we will provide without cost, any of these sundry items: Additional Personal Kit, child restraints, GPS, table, and chairs.
*EXCLUSIONS:
Unsealed Roads and Overhead Damage Liability: Regardless of fault you’re liable for up to the first $9900 of any loss/damage/accident/recovery on an unsealed road or for overhead damage. Even if you reduce your sealed road liability to $0, you’ll still be liable for up to the first $9900 on an unsealed road.
Windscreen and Tyre damage: You are always liable for tyre and windscreen damage on an unsealed road unless you selected option 3 (LRF with MAX package). If you select (option 1) LRF only, you are also liable for this damage on a sealed road.
You are responsible for all costs (including towage and repairs) arising from:
- use of the wrong fuel;
- a flat battery because of the lights or entertainment system having been left on;
- the keys having been misplaced or lost; or
- the keys having been locked in the Vehicle.
- further damage if you drive after having had an accident
Hail Damage: You’re not covered for hail damage unless you have taken the Liability Reduction Fee (LRF) with Max or LRF with Max Package
